Description

There is currently no easy way to reopen a database that you have previously used. It would be nice if it was able to open the database you were using when the app was last closed, as well as have a list of the last 2-3 databases in the menu for easy access.

I would like to vote for this feature. If it would be there, I would use the current version of 2.0 Alpha 3 already for all my password databases.

It was checked in shortly after I made the request with Revision 0755702f (see Associated Revisions), but the ticket just hasn't been closed yet. Alpha 3 is the first public build that has it.

It doesn't look like I can change the ticket status myself or I would.

This issue is about two features:

1. keep track of recently opened databases, and have al list of the last 2-3 databases. This feature is already implemented in Database > Recent Databases

2. open the database you were using when the app was last closed (like with KeepassX 1.x). This feature is not yet implemented.

So, I think this issue should not be closed until the second (important) feature is there.

Excellent point. I forgot about the second part entirely, since I just changed my KeePassX shortcut to a shortcut to my kdbx file instead.

Agree,

Alpha 3 (and 4) remembers the last databases but it would be great to have an option to automatic open the last used database

I don't see any voting options so here's my +1. Would improve the usability of KeePassX a lot.

This would be a great feature, although maybe not so urgent given Matt Schraeder's most excellent suggestion to simply launch the file instead of the application, genius, can't believe I didn't think of that!

With the introduction of a password generator, KeePassX now meets all my needs since switching to Mac, I'm delighted with it, thanks for all the hard work.
